GLA at the Eastern Cape Trials
Athletics:
This past weekend Lawden van Niekerk and Johann Lindner represented their school (Global Leadership Academy) as well as the Cacadu-district at the Eastern-Cape Athletic trials in Port Elizabeth. Thanks to their continual hard work and perseverance through-out this year they both got fifth place in their items. Lawden in the 110m hurdles boys under 19 and Johann in shot put boys under 19.

Squash:
Dylan Collings, Wouter Kooijman and Charné Ferreira represented their school (Global Leadership Academy) this weekend in Port Elizabeth for the Eastern Province squash trails.  Charné did extremely well and made it to the next round which will take place in May.

Performing Arts:
This Saturday saw two GLA students receive their Eastern Province colours in Performing Arts. Yolanda Soji and Emily Jansen van Rensburg , both grade 10 students, have been selected to represent their province at the national competition held in Rustenburg from the 7th April. Each of them have qualified for vocals and will be able to perform up to six styles in their 13-15 age category. We are very proud of both our students and they have our full support as they represent both GLA and the Eastern Cape. We are still in desperate need for sponsorship for one of our contestants so if you would like to contribute to making her Nationals trip a reality, please take note of the following banking details:

This past weekend several GLA students represented their school in athletics, squash and performing art provincial trials. They did their school proud!
