SA's Performing Arts Champion ships

The South African Championships of performing Arts is held each year in Rustenburg and this year Global Leadership Academy sent two students to this prestigious event. Yoland Soji and Emily Jansen van Rensburg (in the photo on above left) both took part in the 13-15 age group Vocals event where they took to the stage in fine form. Although they did not obtain any medals this year we are very proud of these two upcoming stars.

Stultings KunsFees

Last week the Global Leadership Academy’s choir as well as 7 students took part in the Stulting Kunsfees. It is the first time since the schools’ opening that we have entered such an Eisteddfod so it was very exciting preparing for the event. The categories entered were Acting, Dance, Art as well as Group Singing. The acting students walked away with an A++ (Inecke Loubser), an A+ (Johann van Tonder), 3 As (Charné Ferreira, Melissa Vermaas and Yanicka Ras) and one B symbol (Hanelie Dreyer). Amy Holdsworth scored a 95% to earn her an A++ for her contemporary dance routine and the school choir wowed the judges to land a 100 % for their musical entry! Our art student Annica Erasmus also walked away with an A++. We look forward to next years event and thank Stulting for their superb organizing!
