Squash Highlights

First game for GLA’s 2nd Squash Team
On Thursday the 10th of May, GLA’s beginners squash team had that opportunity to play against Willow Academy. Both teams had so much fun and really played well that day. It was also great to see how their skills are improving. Squash as a sport is developing more and more, not just in GLA, but also in the Eastern Province. Congratulations to GLA who won 6 out of the 7 games. The second team players were: Justin Venter, Rhyss Pegram , Jeroen Kooijman, De Villiers Fourie,   Jesse Visser, Coert Venter and Danika Oosthuizen

GLA’s First Team Squash Win’s again!
Friday, the 11th of May, GLA competed against Alexander Read High School in squash. Both teams played exceptionally well. GLA scooped up the winning title by 14-1. Then last Friday, the 18th May, the first team played their last game for this term against Linkside High. It was a really blessed day and both teams’ performance was outstanding. In the end the final score was 11 – 4 in GLA’s favour. Congratulations!! We are looking forward to the remaining three games for the league next term.  Congratulations also to Charne Ferreira who made it to the final round in the under 19 EP trials. Although she did not make it the next round, she played very well and we are so proud of her.
