Help us lay a firm Foundation

One of the most difficult things for me to do is to ask for money. When I get to heaven one day, I have often said, I am going to spend the first million years attending the workshop on money. I would love to fully comprehend the mind of our Lord about it! Anybody else care to join me?

I firmly believe in sacrificial living. It helps us as a school community to stay dependant on the Lord and it teaches us to walk in the poor man’s shoes. We learn to be content. When you are surrounded with need, you learn to give. It is not the only way, but it sure is an incredible one!

One of the exciting challenges in a "Global Travel Year" is that we often, after listening to the Holy Spirit, stand in the gap for a place in need and raise the necessary funds for a specific project.

Through the years we've been able to witness:

• More than 2 000 families, who were severly affected by drought, fed for two months with the Niger Relief Fund; R90 000 were raised by a team of 5 young people!

• Hundreds of smiling orphan kids during numerous projects in India which add up to over R400 000 in the last few years!

• And this year we could help Camp Focus in Croatia to build a bungalow on their campsite.

• The list continues on and on....

Which all boils down to me growing in the task of asking for money; especially when I see the joy and change it brings.

Right now our need is home-based. We would dearly like to lay the foundations of our Global High School and Mission Base this year. We believe God has anchored us in Jeffrey's Bay to not only serve in the nations, but to also be part of His Kingdom in this town.

Our first target is to buy 1000 bags of cement. Would you consider helping us to buy these bags @ R80 a bag?
