GLA Athletics at NMMU

With January reaching its end it was also time for GLA’s yearly colour athletics event..  The event was held in Port Elizabeth at NMMU’s athletic stadium.

The started with a creative procession by each of the three different colour teams, namely red, orange and yellow.  With high spirits between the different teams, it was time for the first event to commence where the long distance athletes showed their stamina.

At the field items the athletes also showed their skills.  As the program progressed the time also came for those of top speed to show what they are capable of.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Learners and officials faced the heat of the day in good spirits.  There was a very good amount of participation and a couple of athletes even caused some previous records to topple.
