Our First Stage Production

Eight students from Global Leadership Academy have been hard at work putting together a production they have entered into the ATKV Tiener Toeneel Kompetisie.

Round one of the competition takes place in Port Elizabeth on the 2nd of September.

The predominantly afrikaans production entitled Die Hok written by Gerhard Strydom takes place in a one room apartment. The lead character, Amos, is car mechanic who is convinced the world owes him greatly and has no problem letting his fellow characters know about his disposition.

Meisie Jones the slightly odd landlady while Charlie, his colleague, is forever doing his bidding. This tragi-comedy is an amusing look at life which the whole family will enjoy and a twist at the end is sure to keep you on your toes! GLA’S Die Hok will be previewing to Jeffrey’s Bay audiences for one night only on the 23rd August; 18:30pm at Deo Doxa.

It will take the form of a supper/snack theatre and picnic baskets are welcome to be brought along. A tuckshop will also be available. Tickets are R15 for adults and R10 children under 12 and can be bought from GLA office as well as Zirkea at the Deo Doxa church office. Come join us for a night of entertainment and laughs!
