From the Principal

At Global Leadership Academy, we’ve witnessed God shape and guide our school in extraordinary ways. And while this journey is far from over, we’re continuously seeking His will—not just for us as an institution, but for our learners, parents, staff, and the wider Jeffreys Bay community.

We often ask ourselves, “What creates a lasting impact?” None of us—whether the staff, governing body, or directors—want to put in effort that leads nowhere. We’re committed to pursuing a clear purpose and mandate. We believe that our mission at Global Leadership Academy is to Make Disciples and Shape Leaders. Yes, academic excellence is important, and being recognized as the Best Performing High School in the Eastern Cape in 2023 affirms that. But we’re just as passionate about challenging learners to break free from the world’s trends and walk boldly in the purpose God has for their lives.

This vision is rooted in a prophetic word given to us in 2010, which I am honored to share:

Prophetic Word

“For I am going to build something that will be a model, a light set on a hill. It will be a model for many others to come and look at and draw from. As they begin to see light shed and changes take place, politicians will come, many people will come from near and far to inquire of you. You will see the hope I placed within you carried throughout this nation and to other nations around you. You are at a key place in history. It is a defining moment. You will form leaders, world leaders, and leaders of nations, leaders of cities and towns. I have called you to raise up apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, and in turn, they will begin to teach others and bring people into unity. Don’t take lightly what you are doing on my behalf. I embrace what you have become and what you have begun. I will finish it.”

In Closing

I’ve read this prophecy countless times, and recently, it struck me—it’s not just for the school, it’s for the children. They are the ones being formed into leaders—leaders of nations, cities, and towns. It is through them, empowered by the Holy Spirit, that apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers will rise up.

So, here’s my challenge to you—parents, learners, and the community—don’t take lightly the role you can play in this vision. You have the chance to join us in raising the next generation of authentic Christian leaders who will impact the world.
